Re: Introduction of a bit concerned yet very proud mother.

You may pm me any time. I will answer anything I can. We had to sign the papers for my son since he was 17 at the time so it is best if you go along to the recruiter (in our case, my son arranged for the recruiter to come to us at our home but the rest of us were on vacation in Yellowstone and he ca...

Re: Introduction of a bit concerned yet very proud mother.

You're doing great, Mom! Your sons are very blessed indeed. This is a great site to visit frequently. Ranger info for general consumption can be difficult to come by. If your son has not enlisted yet, make sure he holds out for the opt 40 in his contract. You can get a shot at the Ranger path by vol...

Re: A couple quick questions

I love you Rangermom!!! I wish you were my mom when I went to Ranger School...it would have saved me money on the cab on the way to the PX then Burger King on the way to Ryan's Steakhouse, where I did four laps around the food bar...oh, wait...that was just my 6 hour break! Good times, indeed! oh y...

Re: A couple quick questions

My son graduated last September. Yes he will get a phone call between phases whether he makes it through or recycles. However the line for the phones is long so if he's the self sacrificing type, he may give up his spot for someone he feels needs the home contact more than he does. Ok, so my son too...

Re: Introduction of a bit concerned yet very proud mother.

First of all congratulations on raising responsible, honorable boys. As a Ranger Mom I can tell you, you are about to embark on the roller coaster ride of your life. You will be unbelievably proud and scared to death at the same time. You will be relieved that he wants to serve with the best of the ...

I've read both Robert's Ridge and Not a good day to die. the second is more technical but both are good.

Re: Impersonating a Ranger on Facebook

If you go to the group page for Sgt Robert Sanchez and follow the link under Rob's aunt's post about the fake - then you can report him as filing a fake profile. I had to say he was impersonating a famous personality rather than saying someone I know because it wouldn't take it when I tried putting ...

Re: Need Advice

If they come at you, hit em when no one's looking. The school is not going to come to your aid. sometimes you just have to put someone on the ground before they get the message.

Re: Surviving the Cut

my son said they were there filming when he went through Benning the first time. Let's see that was sooooo long ago - I think he started in March. Ha ha - he's still at it in second phase now. Fool just refuses to quit! I am so proud but will his digestive system and sleep pattern ever be normal ag...

Re: Random thought of the moment.

I have often wondered why it is conservatives are called the"right" and the liberals are called the "left." By chance stumbled upon this verse in the Bible: "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." (Ecclesiastes 10:2, NIV) h...

Re: Surviving the Cut

So now that the episode aired - what did all of you Rangers think? I didn't see my son at least not to the level of assurance that I could say "that one is mine". I had several thoughts and emotions - the initial response being "holy shit, my son did not do that!" when they were ...

Re: RS....Summer or Winter??

Summer, winter - either one SUCKS for your parents! Trust me - my son's in school and every day I come home without a letter giving me some form of address to contact him I want to kill something! I am the "parent"....hehe. I will more than likely be 42 when I get to go thru... And I have...
