Re: what pistol should i buy?
I've been carrying an XDm 9mm as a duty weapon for about 2 years now. I'm a big fan of it. The trigger sucks, but I've gotten used to it. It's more accurate than my Glock 22.

Cat crap worked for me, and is inexpensive. Here's a link to one place you can buy it: http://www.rei.com/product/623337/ek-ekcessories-cat-crap-anti-fog-lens-cleaner

Full disclosure: I'm in Law Enforcement. And I still think this way.
Same here. I am not intimidated by armed, law-abiding citizens. I see them as a "force multiplier" for my interests. :D

RIP - 1LT Robert Paz, USMC Killed 16 DEC 89
The OJC crowd may remember that 1LT Paz was killed by the PDF on this day in 1989. 1LT Paz was a passenger in a car with other officers, while attempting to flee an anti-US crowd. After Paz was killed the PDF detained a naval officer and his wife. The officer was beaten, and his wife allegedly ...

How good could these biscuits possibly be? There's a threshold past which biscuits cannot improve. Even the best goddamn biscuit in the world isn't $72 better than a Popeye's biscuit. Unless that biscuit can make you teleport.

Re: Sig-ACP (Adaptive Carbine Platform)
I shot one of the Glock versions (CAA I think) a couple of weeks ago, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I helped the owner put about 6 mags through his, and we didn't have a problem. He had an EOTECH on it, and I was clearing plate racks way faster than I can with just the pistol. I think he said he ...

Addresses for care packages
I just got an email from a local church looking for a few deployed soldiers to send care packages. If anyone knows of someone that would appreciate a package, or IS someone looking for a package, leave your address here and I'll pass along.

Back in 2010, I ran a few missions out of a training FOB that was mostly run by civilian contractors. I think there were maybe 10-15 military. One of the contractors stopped me one day to strongly advise me to carry my pistol loaded and OFF SAFE at all times. He said there were enemy in the ranks ...
