The combination of the GI Bill AND Army College Fund is up to 70K. the GI bill alone is around 50K. if you don't have the college fund, you don't get it now. There should be no reason why you couldn't get RIP or Opition 40 with a 35F contract. That is unless Option 40 is restricted to 11X contracts. That is something you should ask your recruiter or one of the Rangers may answer that question for you.

Yes, a 17 year old may contract for Option 40 with any MOS it comes with. Only 18 year olds may contract for MOS 18X. So according to your post, my recruiter pretty much lied to me when they said I had to be 18 to qualify for the Option 40? I think I'll have a talk with them about getting this issu...
