Re: Introduction - Kyle

No need to explain yourself to me, but that sounds reasonable enough.

I have always found that if you want to make a particular physical event seem easier, just train on something harder. A 12 mile ruck is no biggie if you're used to busting your ass on an 18 miler.

Re: Introduction - Kyle

At any rate, keep up the hard work. Life is easy when you don't have to worry about being in good enough shape to hang.

Re: Introduction - Kyle

Damn skinny kids and their fast 2 mile times.

How did you run a sub-11 two mile but then your five mile is only 36?? This is confusing to me

Re: Introduction

Rangers, Thank you all for welcoming me to the site and taking an interest in a pleb like me. I'm still pretty far out, but my NCO support channel knows my plan and they all support me. I'm pretty lucky, that my first line is a former Bat NCO and he's always willing to field my questions. I'm getti...

I 100% agree with enforcing the standards. If you were dropped, it was for a reason.

With that being said, don't lose focus on your goal. The Regiment always needs good Rangers. I need good Rangers. Remember what your goals really are, and always work towards them.

Re: SITREP - G.I.434

Your 12 week plan is not bad. The foam rolling and all prehab will be essential and is overlooked by most people. Do not overdo the rucking, be careful of increasing more than 10% per week.

Re: Tactical Tailor-Lakewood, WA

Great place. Love the pouches I have from them. I used their MALICE frame, shoulder straps, and kidney pad on my ruck for the Bataan Memorial Death March this year.

Two thumbs up from me

Welcome here to the site. From my experience, I will tell you this: PJ's are experts in extrication and retrieval. Ranger medics are the best trauma docs in the military.

This is all great. I don't know nearly as much about any of this as I should.

Any recommended books/publications?
