David Hackworth had his interns at Time Magazine research the web for pages of individuals or web posts etc. of people claiming to have served as US Army Rangers. They came up with something like 175,000 hits. Obviously, about 95% of those claiming to have been Rangers are frauds.

Point well taken Ranger2. Here's a related story. In 2000, I toured Western Canada in my motorhome. In the southern Alberta town of Nanton, is located the Nanton Lancaster Bomber Museum. The museum was founded by three wealthy local farmers, all retired, all of whom had gotten pretty affluent after ...

OK. Now post a photo of your outdoor AO. That's my motorhome parked directly across the street from South Beach, one the West Coast's great surfing beaches. It would be remiss of me not to mention it's also one of the West Coast's most beautiful beaches as well. Eat your hearts out! :D :D http://web...

"Kindergarden? C'mon bro it was at least the equivalent of the first grade."

I don't mean to belittle Ranger School in any way. I was simply making a point.

If you come to the 101st Airborne Division LRRP/Ranger reunion in Branson, and ask of the Vietnam LRRP/Rangers in attendance there "Who amongst you attended Ranger school and who amongst you didn't, the most likely answer you'll get is, "Why do you want to know, motherfucker?!" I didn...

The story about the team wiped out in the Roung Roung Valley is included in nearly all the 101st LRRP/Ranger books. How did they get wiped out? By 3 NVA with 3 grenades. We know that because we killed the NVA involved in the contact about a month later, and one had documentation on him regarding the...

Well boys and girls, I've been holding back on this one, but since this thread is getting so many hits, I'll post what I regard the magnum opus of L Company Ranger Vietnam reconaissance photos. It's my favorite of all that have surfaced so far. This is Al Bartz, probably in the A Shau Valley or some...

"Kinda curious how this one went over"

Better not press the issue Malarkey. You know how those Muslims are. This could be as compelling a case for women keeping their faces covered as you're ever going to find.

"I never knew Corbin or any guy being a medic in K co. Then again, I knew many but not all by name and very few were in the rear at any one time." I tried to explain this to my younger brother a few years ago. For the life of him, he couldn't understand why everybody in such a small compan...

'Did you ever run into a Medic by the name of Charlie Corbin he was with either L or K CO."

There is no Corbin listed on our master roster. He didn't serve with the 101st LRRP/Rangers as far as I can tell.
