A.Schaff,
I used to be an RTO in Regiment before I crossed over to the dark side. I can answer any specific questions you may have. PM me if interested.
Remember this...regardless of MOS, if you're wearing a Scroll, you are a Ranger. The standard does not change based on your job.

Re: Army Service Uniform (new blues)
We shouldn't be worrying too much. The Army will change all its uniforms again soon enough...til they get it right and we have to fork over another house payment to get it.

Social Security Benefit UPDATE***
Thought this forum would be appropriate for this. I had this email come across my desk. Hopefully it can benefit some of you FOGs! "DD FORM 214 -- SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFIT Please share this with anyone who's had active duty service between January 1957 to December 31, 2001 and planning for retir...

Re: Introduction-Chris
Welcome. Hold out for what you want and don't settle. As for the 13F MOS, in my opinion, it's a great job to have. I was an RTO but I worked really close with the 13Fs and trained them in RGT in the RTO course. They get to do some pretty cool stuff, but then again, so does every Ranger. Good luck.

You still need experience, and if you still have the desire to serve, then go for it. Maybe you won't get Airborne, but you'll still be serving your Country.

Re: A Quitter
Some have said that it was "brave" of him to quit. On the other hand, some may argue that this act of quitting was self-centered and selfish. When reading this article, I just thought of the number of soldiers in combat (past or present) who have been scared shitless, for far better reaso...

Re: How many parents do we have here?
There is no price on the safety of your family. You protect them at all costs regardless if you feel you are getting blown off. You've involved the authorities. They know the situation. Now you protect your family and do what you have to do. I personally will crush any punk ass kid who threatens my ...

Re: A Quitter
A guy who is that scared to be racing shouldn't be on the track..he is a danger and at least he did it for his teammates' sake too. If he isn't confident in his abilities then I think he did the right thing. Some people just lose the nerve.
That said, if I'm his teammate, then I'm probably pissed.

Re: Tricep Pain,,Help appreciated?
I'm not a doc but I had the same pain in the same area on my first deployment. I just backed off a little and let it rest for a few weeks...light weight tricep workouts and it recovered (I attributed it to overworking the area). I'd see a doc though if it persists or worsens.
