A guy in my son's fire team, ACo 3/75, just got out on 1 Aug. 4 years as a tabless 11B , a hell of a Ranger, strong as an ox, he just couldn't run fast enough to pass the RS PT test. He hurt his knees on a jump early on. Joined the Ill. ANG. Bet he'll be a SGT before long & an asset to his unit....

Don't worry about things that might happen. Every instructor is different, every event is a process of evolution, training standards are living documents. The only thing that is a constant is the rumor mill. You have to have the will to exceed all standards put in front of you. My son was in RS Clas...

Ranger Silverback,
She's been on the Parents Forum until recently. Must have been some data lost in the debugging process last Fri. like avatars in my case.

389.1 on the bloodless game- on the 1st try. could hardly hit after that.
613.6 on the above game-also on 1st try also couldn't get many hits after that.
Guess I gotta swing on the 1st pitch when I play ball!

I certainly do wish you luck, Sparky. You have a long tough road ahead of you but it'll be well worth it. My son's been in the 3rd Batt for almost 3 years with a year to go. At this time he doesn't think he'll reenlist or extend. He's a SGT now & said he never meant to make the Army a career but...

Accountant, Work on the cardio first, the rest will be somewhat easier. When I was a 1SG of an Instructor Co. working BT, I along with DSs would work the laggards until they met our standards. Good cardio is a must along with good running shoes. Of course at the same time do the upper body workups. ...

Very funny! Ain't retirement grand?!? Been out since '01. Would I go back in? In a heartbeat. Do I miss it? Maybe. There's a reserve center a mile from my house that would like me to come & work. Not at this time I think. My son's in 3 Batt. That's close enough for me. Now I also collect Social ...

Great book Kevin! Got it at Borders about a month ago (Feb.) & read the whole thing in 2 sittings. (I'm a Security Officer who only works weekends so it filled in the time between patrols very nicely!)
I can heartily endorse this one.
