I'm fairly certain the only non-active SF units are in the National Guard, as well as infantry units. Though I did hear there was an Army Reserve infantry unit out of Hawaii.

Just because your credit score may be sub 600 doesn't mean your clearance won't go through. I think its bankruptcies and delinquent accounts they look for.

Ohio State has a very reputable ROTC program as does the University of Cincinnati.

This kid is only 15 and already sounds more intelligent than the rest of these people posting an intro in this forum.

My personal favorites, in no particular order:



NCO refuses to take APFT (NEB noted that soldier received all success ratings).

NCO caught for driving automobile during run event of APFT.

Sentences used just to fill up space, such as, "Soldier baked cookies for entire Platoon."

Two things:

1. Don't count on getting promoted just because you fill a slot and have time in grade.

2. If you remain on active duty from a deployment you will get put right back into the grinder and sent somewhere as if you had just finished boot camp. A friend of mine did this and got set to 1 ID ...

One of my soldiers was contacted by phone and met an individual from the agency that conducts these investigations. I've been in eight years now and this was the first instance I have ever heard of someone actually meeting these people face to face. 99.9% chance nobody on your SF86 will be contacted.
