the five mile run is held on a one mile track just down the road from the RIP barracks, so its flat, you should be able to run 5 miles in 40 minutes by the time you get to RIP. there was only one guy who failed the run in my class and he stopped to piss....twice, he wasnt the smartest kid in the cla...

Re: Critique Me

Question: For the APFT, is it absolutely necessary that I touch my chest to the ground? I've been going about an inch or so above it. if you intend on making it through RIP then be used to breaking the plain, your run time doesnt meet the minimum criteria for any male in the military, run everyday,...

I do believe msherlaw is a recycle, I heard him talking about going worldwide. he had a few neg. counceling statements and one of the cadre was going to give him an LOM statement, but he denied being told about it, in which case the cadre told him it was disrespect to an NCO and was recycled

Rangers, week 2 is over, cole range was a good time  I got to visit the pleasent woodline a few times, and visit a nice "vitamin" fortified pond at about 0230 for a nice little workout. It was hard just like I figured it to be but certainly not hard enough to make me quit. our class...

Rangers, I arrived at RIP today, and will most likely be in hold for at least one month as there is a class just starting. Of all the Riggers who have recently come down to RIP, only one has actually made it long enough to even start a class. They have all dropped for various reasons ranging from l...

Re: update

Is 70% or higher now the RIP standard? Do you have to score 80% or higher before you graduate or did they mention that? Ranger Tenn-RGR, They told us we had to do 60% to enter RIP and 70% to graduate. The last RIP class that just graduated today had a lot of guys get recycled because of the final P...

Rangers, I reported to BAC yesterday, and will start on Monday, first thing in the morning with a PT test, I am still preparing myself for RIP. I feel fortunate because there are two of my buddies who are very dedicated who have RIP contracts in my platoon, and another who has an 18x that I was in O...
