Re-Introduction

Greetings, Rangers. Been a few years since I've posted on the forum, have been to Afghanistan and Iraq in the meantime. If anyone remembers me, I just returned from Baghdad in march, and am now working as an O/C at the Joint Intelligence Combat Training Center. I'm set to pick up my E-7 next year, b...

Dropped in and saw this thread! As Ranger KH said, deployment is getting in the way of me going to Ranger School this year. We just completed our JRTC rotation (06-02), and are loading boats in December. Kinda a bummer, but I'm looking forward to getting downrange nontheless. Will make Sergeant in F...

I am back again, Rangers

Have not been on the site very often for the past two and a half months or so. Been in the field most of that time, which was good training. We recently did platoon and company CALFEXes and CPXs for the last month and a half. Did several SRM ranges, which was cool shit as far as I'm concerned, being...

Just caught up with this thread. Theres alot of good advice in here. I know anyone can become a good runner, because I did. When I first joined the army I could barely run once around a high school track without nearly dying. Now I can run 10 miles, and do my 2-mile in a mean 12:00. All it takes is ...

Back from Fort Chaffee

Just completed a month rotation here at beautiful Fort Chaffee Arkansas yesterday. 3 battalions in all deployed in successive intervals, our two infantry battalions and our cav squadron (although those fuck-sticks stayed in barracks the entire time and drove around the rest of the time on the roads)...

RIP, Soldier.

Im redeploying from our month at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas tomorrow, and have been out of the loop here for a while. I just came out of the field last night and got a chance today to get on a computer. I don't know if you have all heard this yet, but one of our soldiers in my battalion was shot and kil...

 Get a group of 40 guys, pick the 6 dumbest motherfuckers to say the Ranger Creed, and do 20 4-count pushups every time they stutter or fuck up or hesitate. Do this twice a day at least, and your pushups will improve--after your soreness goes away.

I should stress to anyone in DEP reading this that, like others have said numerous times, being in top physical condition is extremely important before trying something like this. Im in pretty good shape, but was still challenged by the Ranger PT every morning and the constant tempo of events and la...
