DOD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Spartan Shield.

Spc. Jayson Reed Haven, 20, of Aiken, South Carolina, died May 25, 2023, at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, as the result of a non-combat vehicle rollover accident. The incident is under investigation.

Spc. Haven was assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 118th Infantry Regiment, 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Charleston, South Carolina.
