Airman Trains Next Generation of Pilots to Make Quick Decisions

Air Force Maj. Abby Gromowsky, 535th Airlift Squadron pilot, trains airmen to become efficient and effective co-pilots who can make decisions on their own.
Gromowsky says her goal is to develop co-pilots who can learn from their mistakes, fly without input from her and become aircraft commanders.
Integrated missions are geared toward scenarios that would likely happen on a deployment. Co-pilots then practice tactical flying to be able to fly efficiently and effectively in the event of any emergency.
