Readout of U.S. – UK Strategic Policy Dialogue

Department of Defense Spokesman Lt. Col. David Herndon provided the following readout:

Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl met with U.K. Ministry of Defence Interim Director General Security Policy Paul Wyatt to reaffirm the U.S.-UK defense relationship, Feb. 14 at the Pentagon.

The two leaders chaired the U.S.-UK Strategic Policy Dialogue to discuss a range of defense and security issues in the Indo-Pacific region. They also exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, and discussed other areas of mutual interest, including the upcoming NATO Defense Ministerial.    

Wyatt and Kahl expressed their commitment to deepening the U.S.-UK special relationship.
