Introduction - Turtle

Post by Turtle »

Good Morning Rangers,

My name is Robbie and i'm hoping to enlist with a 68W option 40 contract. I'm currently 23, turning 24 next month and have done 4 years of college. I dropped out in order to start my own dog care business which has been successful but not as fulfilling as I had expected. I want to be a Ranger medic in order to be a force multiplier in the worlds greatest direct action unit.

Ranger Jim, I went to take my ASVAB yesterday and got a 95. While talking with the recruiter he said they "never get option 40s here". After reading the posts regarding how to get the contract you want I will be going back in to check with him again today and going to a recruiter on the other side of town tomorrow to see if they are more helpful. I have always wanted to be in the Army since I was young, both of my parents were in the Marines. When I graduated high school I was 5'10 120lbs so while all my friends joined I went to college, terrible mistake. After a lot of research I decided that the Rangers was the place I had to be and will accept nothing less. I actually wasn't very interested in being a medic until about a year ago when I found out one of my clients was a former SARC and after many long conversations with him I fell in love with the idea of being a medic.
