VA sends letter to Vietnam Vet to make his Dr's appt.

Post by cams »

...2 years after his death. His widow received the letter. Glad to see they're finally getting their shit together.

Letter from VA says that they'd "appreciate a prompt response".

Widow says they had to have known that he died 2 years ago, because she applied for funeral benefits for him and was denied.

Jeff, I think this is all too common with VA. This is why I retired in Northern Virginia, I have access to
Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. Great care!

One thing that you have to understand is that the VA is a huge bureaucratic nightmare and if your death certificate doesn't make it to the correct person you will not be marked as dead in the system. Hell even if it does make it to the right person there is no promise that the slug will actually do their job.
