Hey man, relax, face out & take a knee. Basically, someone who knows you has to come along and provide verification. It took a while when I joined as well. If you know anyone on the board personally, maybe they could help speed the process up.

We take verification pretty seriously around here, as there have been issues in the past. It's not like there is a shortage of posers out there.

I noticed that you were in 3rd Ranger Battalion from 1999 to 2002. Did you by any chance know a individual named Steve Norris? Said he was a Company Commander with 3rd Ranger Battalion, Silver Star, and three tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan. All this in five years of service. Total time served 5 years but claims 5 tours of duty in Iraq & Afghanistan. How long is a tour in one of these areas anyway. I was under the assumption that a tour was at least one year long. Thanks.

A regular army tour is 9-14 months, depending on the type of unit, the mission and the politics at the time. Ranger tours are 4-5 months with stateside intervals of 6-12 months. Timing is everything.

Keep watching your threads, sooner or later one or another 3d Batter from the time frame is going to catch one.

I do not remember him but it does not mean he was not there. I was in B co. And we stayed pretty much within our sqd/plt.

They timeline you laid out sounds bogus but I left after the initial deployment after 9/11. To be honest I could not tell you exactly how many times the boys deployed after I left.
