SITREP from Hopps (RANGER)

Here's another letter from Hopps:

Ranger EarthPig-

I haven't had time to write since I got here to BCT. I hope you got my last letter from the 30th. My platoon here is abunch of fuckups. We are constantly getting smoked because nobody knows WTF they are doing. I just shut my mouth and do what I'm told.

I got yelled at for my first time this morning during PT (Thursday). It was BS. I called the canteen a water bottle. Then I had to lay on my back and suck the canteen like a baby for 30 seconds. Nothing big.

Our platoon can't seem to listen or respect each other. Everyone thinks I am "high speed," but I'm not. I just listen and do what I am told.

One of my Drill Sgt.'s is a tabbed Ranger. He never went to RIP or Battalion, but he is a hrad ass. I look up to him. He has served a couple of tours.

I am confident I am in the running for PL. I am so hungry for sweets. Tomorrow is the gas chamber. Looks like it will be fun.
