Short Fuse to get there, But Good Opportunity

Post by Bravo57 »

Sorry for the late notice, but there is a great job opportunity for a Ranger type A personality. Below is the e-mail

Job Seminar Fayetteville, NC

I'm in Fayetteville from 2 through 7 August running a Hiring Forum. If you could put his out to the membership in the Fayetteville area.

I'm looking for E5's and above with strong leadership skills for positions as junior supervisors for Schlumberger Oil Services. The jobs are in TX, La, WY, OK, CO, Ut, NM and we're looking for hard chargers who want to build a career.

Gulf coast positions have an 18 month trainup, land positions have a 3 month trainup, after training both require candidates to "shadow" a successful person in these position until that individual says they are "ready."

Land based "Field Specialists" supervise 4 to 8 man teams working with explosives, high pressure pumping systems, sophisticated sensor arrays and more. They work 2 to 10 days at a stretch (with 1 day off for every 2 worked).

Gulf based (rig based) "Field Specialists" work 14 on 14 off, doing many of the same missions that the teams based on land do, but, they are the "sharp end" decision maker for Schlumberger, their deaccessions are worth between 100s of thousands to millions of dollars. They also work with technicians "on site" forming "ad hoc" teams to accomplish the same tasks that land based teams perform . . . and more. Hence the 18 month training (2 months in Paris . . . France).

These are salaried positions, with a bonus paid (after completion of training and vetting) on each completed mission (a typical team might have 3 to 5 to perform per week).

Attached is the flyer, the forum begins at 1900, 5 Aug at the Wingate Inn, there will be food.

Take care
