Welcome Doc! The SOF community always needs good med support. Tropic medicine and obviously trauma & surgical skills are important. Make sure along the way you learn how to teach your skills, as well as developing basic mentoring skills.

Welcome.

Good informative intro, and no, didn't notice anything out of place in the intro.

What specific information are you looking for that we might help with, Doc?

Welcome.

The Army and specifically the SOF need motivated and dedicated medical personnel.

My units Battalion Surgeon in Vietnam had a real bad attitude, luckily we had some great medics. Our surgeon joined the Air Force for four years to avoid being drafted by the Army for two years and possibly having to serve as a surgeon in an Infantry Battalion. Unfortunately for him the Army was short on Doctors and he got detailed to the Army for one year of service. Unfortunately for us we got him. As stated there was a great shortage of doctors and our Bn CO couldn't get him switched out with the Divisional Support Hospital. Go figure; they wouldn't give up one of their surgeons for our GP.

Our hope your desire becomes fact.
