Son, just take a look at some of the other intro's and see what the difference is. Maybe try again. You only have one chance to make a first impression, and yours was seriously lacking. Congrats on your contract and best of luck to you in your endeavors.

oh, my bad Ranger rgrwest. im not used to forums like that. Here is round two.

My name is Justin. I am 18 years old and I just signed an 11x/O40 contract. My ship date is Jan 22 2010. Im sorry for the previous intro, it wont happen again. The reason I want to be a ranger is I played americas army alot and loved the Ranger missions, so i signed up to serve my country instead of playing behind a keyboard. My pt score is --

Pushups - 72 in two minutes
Situps 85 in two minutes
And my two mile run time is 12:10

thank you, Rangers.

Well, Justin, just this once I'm going to explain that you are correct in that you are not likely to be used to forums like this. Why, because we take pride in who we are and what we do. If you truly want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. Over the past few years we have had the honor to assist a number of fine young as they make their life journey through training and entry into the Ranger Regiment. Any of the users who have the honorific "Ranger" by their name have shared the Ranger Experience. Unlike other sites we communicate in English, we do not text. Please begin your journey by locating the Ranger Creed and give some thoughts to what it says and what it means to be a Ranger. It is not for he weak. If you really enlisted because you enjoyed America's Army game -- you are in for a signifcant emotional event. Never, never quit!!!

Roger that, Ranger Jim. I will spend more time typing properly.

After reading the Ranger Creed, here are the thoughts you asked on it, Ranger Jim.

It is a Creed like no other, set aside for Rangers that have lived, fought, and died by it's words.

The Ranger Creed to me, is a simple set of words that when you look at it, shows the dedication, bravery, and hard work that is not only requested of you as a Ranger, it is expected.

When spoken, it is a solemn oath not only to your Country and other Rangers, but to yourself, that you will never quit, you will never stop fighting, and you will never back down in the face of unspeakable odds.
I've begun to understand also the strict pride spoken/shouted in this creed that comes from decades of men who came before me.
This Creed expects, no, DEMANDS that I not let them, nor my country down.

You just earned some respect back from me. Nicely said.

OK, Justin, you are beginning to see what is expected and what is acceptable. As an aside, legend has it that on at least one of the C-130s flying enroute to the Rio Hato Dropzone in Panama in 1989, the Rangers preparing to jump could be heard reciting the Ranger Creed just before the green light came on. Yeah, the creed is kind of important, some of us still try to live by it. Never, never quit!!!
