If I were a political cartoonist...I would draw a picture of Obama holding a chicken with the neck outstretched over a chopping block (the chicken would be labeled "Amercia") and a big mean guy with a turban standing over the chicken with a big arab sword prepared to behead the chicken.

If Messiah Obama wanted to be interviewed by a network that isn't watched in the USA, he should've tried NBC.

Agreed. Unless the US becomes a little less "United" and you get to vote again, he's your President. Doing all the bullshit namecalling that the liberals engaged in for eight years did nothing but tear our country apart and polarize us as a nation.
Its not the extremists we need to worry about, its the ones who can be swayed that we need to worry about. They are the ones who could either be a decent Muslim or become an extremist. We know we will have to kill every extremist all the while we need to work on taking away one of "their" advantages and that is their propaganda against us. This will also make it difficult for the extremists to get more people to the fight. This is a step in the right direction, IMO.
Remember that he doesn't have to say what he means. He just has to reassure them that things are ok, America's your friend, we love all of you deeply. In the end he can still decide to go the other way with it. Most of the viewers will believe him as long as their imam tells them that he speaks the truth.

I think it was a good move on his part.

Yeah, T, you are so right. All the liberal name calling did polarize the nation. The interesting aspect is that it worked for the liberals!

Because while they were name calling and screaming about Iraq, Afghanistan, Gitmo, etc.., and while the Republicans, i.e. McCain were sucking up to them, BHO was elected as the POTUS, and is probably the most liberal, possibly on the verge of being a socialist one of the bunch!

Personally I could care less who B. Hussein Obama gave his first interview to, it irrelevant. Every idea will always have opposite views as to the validity of the idea and only history will record the success, or failures.

Agreed, it's called socialism, and history has shown that it does not work. Usually with a few million citizens in the grave first tho.

I will not call him "President Obama" and don't see a need to. That's my right. I will not insult the man, but I'm sorry the libs have desensitized me to not calling a President "President". I don't burn with anger at the dude, I just don't trust him and disagree 100% with his views.

I do agree with you guys on Muslims though.

I called President Reagan "Reagan" "Ronnie" or "Renaldus Maximus". I called President Bush "Bush" and "GW". I called President Clinton "Clinton" and "Bill". So I figure I can call President Obama "Obama" or "Barack". Its America, we do not have to call any President anything we do not wish. If I wanted to call him "Empty suit ass clown" I should be able to, without fear of any repercussions. I think quite a few folks have died to allow that right to continue.

He's hitting the nail on the head when he talks about Al Qaeda not doing anything positive for the Muslim youth. Before long people will start to question the reasons they try to martyr themselves, or send their youth to die instead of looking for free and fulfilling lives and sending their children to have a better life than they had
The compassionate method of dealing with fanatics, historically, works out really well. Prime Minister Chamberlain had a pretty squared away plan, that worked miracles in Europe. When Israel gave up all sorts of land in return for a peaceful existence, the reversal of ancient bloodfeud was almost amazing.

Historically the only thing that will stop a fanatic from killing themselves, is to remove the fanatic. This is done by total destruction, such as our method to stop Japan, or by making life, through capitalism, better for the region where the fanatics prey. Poor, bored, teenagers won't kill themselves if they have a better purpose in life. Trying to talk compassion to the terrorist leaders is like trying to convince a hungry alligator it needs to become a vegetarian. It has not worked, ever, in the history of the world. Only violence, or money, has stopped such perverse ideology.

Calling Bush, by just his last name or even GW or G-dub isn't disrespectful, or even calling President Obama, Obama isn't disrespectful, but calling him the messiah or King Hussein or Obrama or whatever colorful nickname you may have. I threw a shot out there across the bow, so if the show fits, wear it, if it doesn't, you have nothing to worry about.
