I was talking to one of my friends who takes Krav Maga and he said it's a lot like Muay Thai and Kick Boxing. I'm about to join a Muay Thai class, but I was wondering, if they really are alike, which one is more effective or would be put to use in self defense better?

Leatherneck, what type of Krav are you studying? There are two primary areas in the US...NY and LA style...they differ in some of their techniques and applications.
