New Mobile Command Post

Post by Black 6 »

It is not new, but new to me. Made by Real-Lite (ya, right "lite") at 12' long and 2800lbs (dry). Fully self contained, it even has
an emergency egress hatch at the top where the bed is, would make a great location for a turret.

Even had to go and buy new wheels and tires to be able to carry the thing. If I hadn't had them, I would not have been able
to make it out of the mountains I was camping in.

Thanks, and no, what you see is a 1953 M38A1 that is in the process of being retro-fitted with modern springs, eletronics and a Chevy 350/4spd combo.

The HH6 gave me permission to buy any truck I wanted. I didn't want another $50,000+ bill (we owe nothing on any vehicle) and I really like the body style of the late 80's Ford. Figured I buy the truck for $2,000, dump another $10,000 (ya I know much more than it's worth) into it. Since I do not plan on ever getting rid of it, I will have a truck that is custom, and exactly what I want.

Oh, and:
1. I live in the north, but was born in the South.
2. Ain't nothing in my yard but grass.
3. I have no vehicles in my driveway on blocks (or that don't run).
