My Introduction.

Post by kit »

My name is James. I'm a prior service 11B E4 (SPC), 2004-2006.
B 1/30 IN, 3 BCT, 3ID
OIF III; Baqubah and Ramadi.
I am determined to rejoin the Army as a Ranger. The Rangers I have met have consistently impressed me as the finest soldiers in the Infantry. It is my goal to get Option 40 in my contract, though many in the MEPS bureaucracy have told me that it is "impossible". I will make it possible, so I've come to this site to respectfully ask the Rangers for advice on how to get to RIP.

Welcome, someone on this site will square you away.

Why didn't you secure an Option 40 the first go around? BHD was in the theatres, everyone knew about Rangers then.

Sounds like you wisened up and got some experience, that should help.

Good luck to you!!

Welcome,

my understanding is that prior service can not get an Option 40. Someone with more knowledge about it than I will be along to square you away shortly.

I find your choice of avatar's...interesting. (2/75 candidate for sure)

Thanks for the welcome. I'll proceed to the forums to ask about Option 40 as it applies to my situation.

And I'll find a new Avatar.
