Crusty Creegan was 36 when I got to BN, he had already been there for awhile. Smoked 2 packs a day and still kept up with us youngins. It's not up to us if you can do it, it's up to you.

I dont know what all the rules are for RIP so on and so forth but I do know someone who celebrated his 38th birthday in Ranger School. Must be something to that "old man strength".

as a prior service guy, you won't be given or be eligable for an Option 40 (RIP) contract. which means you'll have to work harder to get there. it's up to you if you can get in, succeed, and then stay there.
