USMA LOA

Post by Brooks »

Rangers and fellow board members,

Yesterday I received a letter of assurance(LOA) from the United States Military Academy at West Point. It stated that I have a guaranteed spot in the graduating class of 2011 if I receive a nomination from a congressman, senator, or the vice-president. This morning I received a phone call from the military academy coordinator for my congressional district who verbally agreed to give me the required nomination.

I plan to take full advantage without waste of the opportunities my great country has recently provided for me and pay it back with service and a life of duty and honor. Thank you Rangers for the advice I have received on this site which has no doubt helped to make this opened door possible.

Damn. Young man. You have been honored with the opportunity to achieve one of the finest educations in the world. It goes without saying that such offers are not given lightly nor should be taken as such. One day, with exceptional work and learning...you could stand in front of a platoon, a company, a battalion of warriors who others would beg to associate with not to mention lead. Do well.

Congratulations, be sure to take Ranger Abells advice to heart. You've got a long tough road ahead of you but the destination will be worth the journey. Good luck dude!

Getting in is half the battle. Staying there is the tough part. First day in formation, look to your right and left -- at the end of four years one of the three of you won't be there. Congratulations on making the initial cut.

hey, I got one of those two about two weeks ago, and I got a letter from my congressman, so I look forward to getting to know you next June. My name is Chris XXXXX by the way, look forward to getting to the academy.

don't put your personal info out in the open. play PM tag if you want to send sensitive personal information. don't violate PERSEC again.
