Rangers and DEP's,
I head down to the Phoenix MEPS today. I'd just like to say although my ArmyRanger.com experience is coming to an end, the real beginning has just started. I've been PT'ing since January and I feel physically I'm ahead of the game and ready to roll. I feel very prepared for the next 7 months of training that lay ahead of me.
I'd like to just say thanks to all the Rangers on this site for posting such a goldmine of information for all of us to use for free. Sometimes it may seem like you Rangers are a mean bunch, but if that was the case you wouldn't let all of us DEP's use the search function. It's great that you help all of us out so selflessly, but it is our job to pull through during training. As the mentoring forum says, if you don't have it, don't waste our time!
Lastly I'd like to thank Ranger Earthpig for being an incredible mentor. Without him I'd probably be pretty half-assed about the entire thing. DEP's, if you're willing to work for it, he will definitely point you in the right direction, which is normally 'uphill and sprinting' during your runs. His example as a teacher leaves me with no doubt in my head about what kind of a Ranger he was and his dedication.
I'll do my best to keep you all updated with SITREP's, either through internet (if I even get to use a computer) or through letters.
Drive On,
Fattyhead
