Introduction- JGill

Post by JGill »

Hello,
My name is John. I have looked at the site every now and again and decided to join. I am currently an ROTC Cadet (MS3) at Loyola College. I graduated Airborne School this past summer and am going to LDAC and CTLT this up coming summer.
I want to branch infantry. Although it may sound cheesy, the reason I am doing this is to serve. I think God has given me certain gifts and I would take no greater pleasure than using these talents to lead by example.
I am pretty much just going to STFU and learn as much as I can. I really cannot say much more than that.
Thanks,
-John

Welcome, I think.

Unless you can heal with the laying of hands dump the "certain gifts" crap.

As for leading by example how about you learn how to follow first.

Whatever gifts you think God gave you, forget about them. God created us, but Colt made us eqaul. Army business is about force and the exercise thereof. God is there to police up the aftermath of what happens when Rangers do their work and it's never pretty.

You have to prove that you have what it takes and you haven't proved shit except that you successufully competed diaper training. You don't know what an "example" is, yet alone what being a leader is all about.

I'm not saying you don't have what it takes. Self confidence is a good thing. But if you think you're going to walk into the Army and be in charge of anything othr than your foot locker, you've got another thing coming and you probably won't like it.

With your attitude, you get no welcome from me, because you haven't erned it. You're a little too filled with yourself. Prove me wrong and I'll be thankful.
