Hey Rangers,

I'm SOT-A. I just got outta Basic Combat Training (Ft. Leonard Wood, Misery). I am assigned to 20th Group out of FL. I'm a SplitOp so I'm still in High School and I drill on the weekends. I'm a long time reader, first time poster. I plan to attend Ranger School in the near future (after AIT and Airborne) so I'm just trying to absorb as much as I can and PT till I puke. Later.

Dude, you are not in Group yet, so you might want to wait to go blurting out SF lines...

Not even Airborne qualified yet. Fuck, doesn't even have an MOS yet. It's all well and good to be proud of your unit, but assignment isn't acceptance. So watch the De Opessor stuff.

No sarcasm or rage intended Ranger Holmchicken. I'll square myself away on the slang.

We talked about circumstances such as this long time ago. Until you finish your MOS Training, you are not even considered a veteran/soldier on this site. Your intro should have been in the civilan area.

Welcome SOT-A

I'm going to assume (yes, we all know about assumptions) that you're absorbing the advice you've been given and welcome you. Don't piss me off - I'm tired and I need some soju.
