USMC Amputee becomes first to earn wings
A Marine who lost his leg in Afghanistan to a landmine just became the first service member to complete airborne school. Now that's some pretty inspiring determination. Via the Ft. Benning Bayonet.
ONE LEG
In batt I had the honor of serving with Bill Dunham. He had recently started skydiving for extracaricular activities before the invasion of Panama.
When he came to visit us, he came sport'n his prosthesis and photos of the skydive he made with his one leg.
He lost his leg because he caught a round in the knee, destroying it. They had to amputate from above the knee.
He told us that this latest jump was the scariest of his life. I could tell he was telling the truth because of how huge his eyes were in the photos right before his comeback jump.
HOOAH MOTHER FUCKER!!!!
ALL THE WAY BILL!
