Type 1 Diabetes

I was recently diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic, and am awaiting a medical review board (could take 4-6months). I was curious if any of you have had expirience with type 1 diabetes as a limiting factor in the armed service...any information first hand would be greatly apreciated.
