Once he graduates BAC (Basic Airborne Course) he will be assigned to a Battalion and have a chance to get comfortable there. It will be some time before he gets a slot for Ranger School so you may have a chance for some down time before that.
Congratulations to your son, RASP is a very difficult course. You should be proud of not only him, but yourself for how you raised him.
