It had some of the most intense fight scenes I have seen in a long time. This is one of those action movies I will see several times.
The first one simply titled "The Raid" was a great film I'm sure you'd also enjoy if you liked part 2.

If it's the same one, there is a part 2 coming out then.

Re: Movie Reviews
Agreed. I liked to the movie up until the rescue. I wish they would have had a little more about Turbine 33 & its crew in there outside of the photos at the end. I too, would definitely recommend the movie to everyone. It's not your typical Navy SEAL monster mash movie & really the only part that caused me to roll my eyes a little was the incredible about of headshots they seemed to score.
Move aside, I thought the 60 Minutes episode with Marcus Luttrell was much more powerful, as it certainly stirred many more emotions in me and I really feel for him and what he went through, and is still going through.

I post this with all due respect and humility. I was surprised by what I consider to be mistakes made during the planning process. I wasn't there so these are only assumptions on my part. Did you ever send out an R&S team without a hard and soft compromise plan? Why not forward deploy the CP? Could have at least used it as a retrans site. What good are eyes on if you can't report it to anyone? I won't get into decisions made on the ground.
Seem to have been a handful of COAs that would have saved a lot of American lives. I've worked with SEALs before and planning seemed to be there weak link.
The movie itself was great. I though it was surprisingly realistic and highlights what I think the main point to the general public is and that is the courage it takes to fight that fight and the brotherhood created between those who serve, especially at that level.

Re: Movie Reviews
Why not just keep them detained and drag them to the exfil HLZ and cut them lose when the birds were a minute out. Every time we were 'soft compromised' we would just make the assholes walk the entire mission with us. Hindsight and all that I guess.

I agree, probably what I would have done. Maybe even take them back for questioning? No more eyes on but maybe a little HUMINT.

Re: Movie Reviews
Lone Survivor: I estimate about 90% the same as the book so for a real combat movie that's excellent. Brutal (ex. falling down the cliffs). Very well done, they did a great job to honor all the fallen, due at least in part to Marcus.

Re: Movie Reviews
Lego movie. GREAT flick. My 3 year old loved it.
CJ:"It was good."
Me: "Would you see it again?"
CJ: "Tomorrow?"
First movie in a theater for him. Something for everyone. Watch out there's a song in there that will get stuck in you brain.
