Illinois Moves to Ban Semi-automatics and High Capacity Mags

Post by Flesh Thorn »

llinois Senate Democrats advanced legislation late Wednesday to restrict semiautomatic weapons and high-capacity magazines, pressing forward with new gun control measures in the waning days of the session over the objections of firearms groups.

Amid the developments, the Illinois State Rifle Association issued an “urgent alert” to its members warning them that Democratic legislators were trying to push through last-minute anti-gun legislation.

“There would be no exemptions and no grandfathering,” the group stated in its alert. “You would have a very short window to turn in your guns to the state police and avoid prosecution.”

That's it! Since guns are evil, I'm getting a "FULL AUTO" Baseball Bat with extra "Clips"
What a bunch of F heads!

I hope people that want to ban guns find themselves in a situation where they have seconds to act and the police are minutes away! Then maybe just maybe some common sense might then be applied to this issue.

There is nothing common about common sense.

Senator Feinstein is likely to introduce her new gun ban bill on January 22. This bill will go above-and-beyond the 1994 ban and even apply to the M1 Carbine, mini-14, and most models of the SKS by listing them as "assault weapons".

Stay safe.
