Introduction - Ben

Post by StandSure »

Hello Rangers,

Before I introduce myself I would like to take this opportunity to thank all past and current Rangers for their service. You made the ultimate sacrifice and bring honor to our great country. Thank you for your selfless service.

My name is Ben and I am 28 years old. I joined the Army back in September. My MOS is 92A (Automated Logistical Specialist) with option 40. I selected this particular MOS specifically because it came with option 40. I want to be part of an elite unit and train with, and work alongside, the best in the Army. For the majority of my life I have been an average individual. I had average grades in high school and college, and worked an average desk job for the last 5 years until being let go at the end of the summer. When I lost my job I made the decision that I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. I wanted to do something that would give myself and those around me a great sense of pride. Being part of the 75th Ranger Regiment means everything to me and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make it there. As far as getting prepared for the past several months, I have been doing work outs I found on this site in addition to my regular work outs, seeing my numbers improve over time (see below for PT results). I have memorized the Ranger Creed and also been reading through the history of the Rangers. This site has been a wealth of knowledge for me and I appreciate the Rangers sharing all of this information. I am looking forward to shipping out to BCT in a few weeks and getting started with my training. I know the road that lies ahead will be difficult, but I will always give my best and will never quit.

Push Ups - 69
Sit Ups - 77
2 Mile Run - 14:21
Pull Ups - 11

I will continue to work on my scores up to and through training, using any free time to do extra PT.
