You have a GED because you quit or failed to obtain a HS diploma but showed some initiative in earning the GED.
Right now you are a proven failure so you need to demonstrate that you are trainable and can achieve a goal, hence the requirement to merely get through one semester of college. An accredited online university (aka "diploma mill") can meet that requirement. It is not that difficult and is much easier than RASP, so just go do it. There is simply no such thing as too much education and in your case, there is such a thing as too little.
Our resident recruiter might chime in on the current requirements or some members here already doing that might also deign to reply. In the meantime, discover your college options and just get it done, the war will be waiting.
While you are earning your way, get in better shape, MUCH better shape.
Your post indicates that you are literate and reasonably well spoken, so the hardest thing about this little college requirement is just taking the time to get through it.
"..would it at least be possible/plausible to still get an Option 4, go Airborne, and hopefully get a slot in RASP some time in the future..?"
Right now, this is the surest route to RASP. You must be recommended by your chain of command at AIT/OSUT in order to obtain a RASP slot - you must again prove yourself worthy by mastering whatever skills and academics your MOS requires and you must excel in PT and display an excellent attitude.
Edited to add: Our site subject matter expert just replied in your intro thread. You now have everything you need to know.
Since you are unemployed, you have plenty of time to get into shape!

Ain't nothing I need to add as Ranger K.Ingraham has told you the standard.
Any Soldier worth a shit prides themselves on doing whatever they can to complete a mission. Your mission is to get an Option 40 contract. Since you have to be a HS grad or grad equivalent (a GED is NOT equivalent in recruiter speak) you need to get the required college credits.
Consider this your first mission for the miliary, stud.
Now go get to it.
