I've searched for a similar thread and have had no luck so hopefully I'm not repeating anything....
I'm currently in AIT to become a wheeled vehicle mechanic. There has been a ranger recruiter hanging out in our DFAC for a week. Long story short I signed my volunteer papers.
My main question is what will life as a mechanic in a ranger unit be like? (compared to any other situation)
Does anyone know if ill have the opportunity to work on heavy vehicles?
Also, am I guarenteed a slot in RASP if my volunteer papers are accepted? (my airborne is good to go)
