This happened about 45 miles from my front porch. Sickening, but not surprising. Burn them at the stake.

I don't think they were CHL carriers. You don't have to have a license to own a gun in Texas. If they weren't felons then they had a right to own the firearms, but they are a couple of crack smoking retards though. They need to be charged and put away.

This makes me wonder if they've shot at trespassers before?

Don't know about TX, but in GA these fuckers would be in deep shit. Very deep shit. Somebody basically has to be breaking in and there has to be a real threat of GBH or death before deadly force is justified.

Looking at the picture, I'd wager there is at least one felony on their combined rap sheets, and not a lot of branches in their family trees......

Sadly, this will be used to justify further attacks on legitimate gun owners, as we're seeing here in NYS after the mass murder a month ago in my neighborhood.
Local authorities didn't bother to enforce their own laws, allowing a neer'do'well to keep acquiring handguns which he used to smoke 13 productive innocents.
Overreaction always seems preferable to doing their job in the first place. "Let's pass more anti-gun laws when it's too expensive or manpower intensive to enforce half of what we have already"

what a howling loss on mothers day weekend. Based on the article, I hope an upgrade to murder is warranted very soon. Too bad the gun didn't back fire in their faces. I also hope these POS are suffering extreme long term meth withdrawals.

I agree with you Ranger CardiacKid. I've been to Liberty, which in fact I stood on a levy in the back yard of a house I was adjusting for insurance. It also had a deck off the back of the house of which I stood on to take in the view. It's up close and personal how close some of the properties are to the levies. That close there is no way that you can't figure out (even with the sun in your eyes) that the small silhouette is that of a kid. Besides you have to decidedly get pretty fucking close to do that kind of carnage on purpose with a shot gun for God's sake. Those poor people on 4 wheelers were moving ducks at a shooting gallery.
