Civilian Intro

Post by va2 »

My name is Mike, I'm 24 years old, and I'm graduating from college in December. I've been lurking for a few months and finally got a profile specifically to participate in Ranger Nomad's daily workout thread. I have a lot of work to do, and that seems like the right place to start.

I'm currently getting my enlistment contract together with my recruiter, so I haven't signed anything yet.

I know it is a personal decision, but don't leave out the consideration of getting your commission.

Ranger Disinfertention,
I thought long and hard about whether I wanted to enlist or go for a commission, and settled on enlisting. To the best of my understanding, I'll have more control over my career from the get-go as an enlistee in that I can select a MOS and any other options instead of being branched. Plus, I can always put in for a commission farther down the line if I want to.

As for the MOS I want, I've settled on 13f with an option 40.

Decent PT scores, but you'll need to post those elsewhere.

We'll be taking an APFT every four to six week in the WO thread I post. You're welcome to join in there and post your scores next time.
