Reintroduction
At the urging of Kilten Heathen from APO, I wanted to make a proper intro.
Most of the time folks call me Smitty. I work in the outdoor industry as a writer/editor for several magazines. I also work for the VA here in the steel city.
I did my time in the USAF Res as a Security Policeman before going on active duty in the Army. I was a cannon cocker for a while, and then served with USMEPCOM, en route to Ft Bragg I went to jump school and served with several units in 18th Abn Cps. .

Welcome to our home and thanks for the "Care" package. You made a couple of Soldiers very happy.
I gave the Knife you sent to a Soldier that (according to his Platoon Sergeant) "Was the best Soldier in the platoon". I can vouch for it because before he went to that Platoon he survived working for me as a 1SG.
The under-gun light went to a SFC who currently works for me. He's a good NCO who until recently was in charge of a MiTT team. I also gave him the magazines.
So thanks for making and individual impact. I would've sent a thank you note but your handwriting was a little "cryptic".
So please accept this public thank you.

I also recived one of your Care Packages and want to thank you. The magizines have been spread all over. The flash lite was passed off to a young SPC PSD guy that is young enough to be my son.
Thanks for all you do.
