Welcome to the site and congratulations on securing your contract. If you stay away from the Ben and Jerry's maybe your run time will improve. :P

Welcome young 13 Fox. The road you are on is the same I travelled.
Good Luck with your tasks, you will be a minority among the Infantry, you have to learn your job, be the best and prove yourself as a rifleman also.

My name is Matthew, I'm from a small town in Vermont. I began my Army journey on July 7th, the day i swore in at MEPS, 9 days after i turned 17.
I secured a 13F option 40 contract and am scheduled for the following trainging

BT Sill 20070928 9wks
AIT Sill 20071203 8wks
BAT BENN 20080128 2wks 3days

My recruiter gave me the option of taking an APFT and memorizing my general orders to promote me to E-2 prior to shipping. these are my results

Matthew,
A man has only one opportunity to make a positive initial impression. Frankly, you appear to need some improvement. You have been directed to correct a few errors on your part. Please do that quickly. If your intention is to earn a place as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right place. The DEPS will be along shortly to pick you up. Please make maximum use of the FAQs, as well as selected stickies and threads. The search feature is your friend, make maximum use of it before you start asking questions. Never, never quit.
