Introduction
Checking in as required. I am the father of a Ranger serving with 1st Battalion for about 2 years. He is from a long line of military service. His grandfather (my dad) was a USAF pilot, my brother is a US Army LTC at the Pentagon and I had 9 years of Active, Guard and Reserve service. Last unit of assignment was 143rd Inf/Det LRS. I did not have the privledge of attending Ranger school. I now serve as a Special Operations Battalion Chief for a large urban fire department in Texas.
My thanks to each of you that wear the uniform and the families that support them.
