I know this subject has been beaten to the point it's sawdust, but I have one thing to add, why you DEPs should show proper etiqutte.
1) Every member of this site with Ranger underneath their username has been in the same exact postion at some point in his life as you DEPs. He was once a young, wild eyed man with dreams of Rangering and silently terrified of the unknown. You, as a DEP, are not unique in your wonderment and fear. We all start out from square one.
2) The Rangers on this site obtained knowledge about the fine art of dealing death and about themselves the hard way. The earned way. One step at a time. So for that, you will address them as Ranger, for they have earned it.
3) You might as well learn to stand at Parade Rest and address all authority figures by their rank, ie. Ranger in this case, starting right now. It will be beaten into you at Battalion, so you might as well learn it now and save yourself some from any unneccesary pain later.
4) You will notice when one of you fucks up and a Ranger starts hammering your ass, other Rangers are immdiately drawn to the ass smoking like sharks to blood. There is a reason for this. You try pulling that shit in Battalion with your Tab Spec-4 and every Tabbed Ranger on that floor wil be in your ass like last years underwear. It's called a chain of command. Without it, nothing gets done. You try to break a link in that chain, you're done. The sense of teamwork that is instilled in you makes react quite harshly when some shitbird tries to disrupt the flow. Do not disrupt the flow.
5 Above all else, this site, like Ranger Battalion, is an all volunteer unit. You volunteered to be on this site, we didn't come track your ass down and force you to be here. If you feel that you don't have to put up with what, in your weak, pathetic little mind, are a bunch old fart has -been's trying to relive the good ol' days,all you have to is quit this site. We won't miss you and we're not going to lose any sleep over it. We've already done what you seek to be. Nothing in life is free, so why should obtaining information from this site be free? Earn this as you would earn the title Ranger.
