Seeking advice

Post by ateup25 »

The situation is this, I injured my wrist slightly on FTX nothing too serious just a little annoyance when doing push-ups but still able to push to my normal. Then Monday I picked up my bag at the airport and pop. Now my wrist hurts like hell when I try to do pushups. I can get maybe ten or twenty out before the pain becomes unbearable. The problem is I don't know what to do now. I am at home with no access to a military medical facility so that is out of the question and I am worried about not doing push-ups continually for fear that I will lose my ability to put out a decent amount of them. We return to training on January 3rd and have been told we will have a PT test that week. Any Rangers on this board know of any way to improve or maintain push-up endurance without actually doing push-ups while I let it heal? Should I just say fuck it and keep knocking out push-ups just in smaller numbers? Any advice appreciated.

What causes pain in the wrist?

Is it possible to straighten the wrist out and do the pushups on your knuckles?
