Aviator headed to school

Buddy of mine found out he's finally gonna get a shot at Ranger school next summer (07), after ILE. I started to poop him up then remembered I graduated almost 30 fucking years ago, so my advice probably ain't worth a shit.

He's in his 30s, but we've trained for and completed an ironman together last year (his 4th), so I know he's got a bucketful of intestinal fortitude. I directed him to the RTB site, told him to spend the next year mastering 11B SL 1-2-3, and honing his land nav skills.

I know there's several current and a shitload for former RIs lurking out here. I was hoping to get a sense of some of the fuck-ups common to non-Infantry guys.
