Introduction

Post by ghettocop »

Hello, my name is James. I am 27 years old and have a Bachelor’s degree. I have been a police officer for the past 4 years.

I have always wanted to do two things in life. Be in the military and be a cop. I have come to the realization that I am getting older and I don’t want to look back at my life and regret not having served my country in the armed forces. I have been lurking around this and other websites for the past several months trying to gather as much information as possible before going to see a recruiter. The information on this and other sites is excellent. After much thought I have decided to enlist as opposed to applying for OCS and I want to be a Ranger. I have spent the last year preparing myself physically for the rigor’s of the military, even more so that of a Ranger. I plan on seeing a recruiter in about six months and continue my physical training in the mean time. I look forward to this process and appreciate everyone that helps folks like me in this journey. Thanks for your time and service to our great country.

You've stated the exact reasons I had for enlisting. I enlisted at age 30, after 8 yrs. in LE. I hope that you fulfill your dream. Best of luck to you.
