I finally got my social security number yesterday!
Went on my last ex with the Canadian Army over the weekend. It reaffirmed my decision to leave as for my C9 (SAW) I was only given 3/4 of a box of ammo, and our C6 gunner was given 75 rounds on the last day. How the fuck are you suppose to train with no ammo? The good thing about the ex was that I was tasked on to the recce dets for the whole so I got to practice my sneak and peaks.
I will be released by this Thurs at the latest. And then next week prolly Monday I will be down at MEPS gettin my shit together.

Contract Signed
Didnt get the option 18 or 40, but its all good.
Basically, because my citizenship issue wont be finalized for another 10 months (processing time) I couldnt get the contract I had initially wanted.
So heres what I got.
11x
option 70 (I can apply to SF after one year)
15g signing bonus
35g MGIB
4 years
I start as an E-3
Ship out May25 2004
yeah I could have said no and waited another year for the perfect contract, but bussin tables at the club for that long is not my idea of a good time, plus I have already been released from CDN Army.
I am gonna do it the good old fashioned way, I dont think any of the old BTDTs here had option 18 or 40 when they signed up and they still made it.
I've already been soldiering for 3 years (I may be the only recruit on parade with a NATO service medal), and i am confident in my ability to get where I want to go.
I am happy with what I've got guys, hell that signing bonus alone is a nice down payment on a house.
Dis out.
