You said it. The whole mood around Batt was subdued for quite a while after that mission. If you ever make it back out to Utah the memorial on Antelope island is a must see. I was activated on a homeland defense mission in Tooele, Utah a couple years ago and ran into an LT in the California Guard that was on that mission also. I wish I could remember his name, but I didn't know him in Batt and the name didn't stick. Anyway, he was out in the water helping to pull in the bodies too. I suggested he go see the memorial but he said he just couldn't go back out there.cryhavoc wrote:oops...not the RCO...BCO 1/75 and 3/75 commander...both on the same bird....along with Mishak and bird from hhc. As for SSG Jones, he left to become the personal cook for Gen. Grange I believe.
