Welcome, Ev!

I remember them fuckers serving us breakfast, and then dinner, and then supper, and THEN going out to the range that we had been on all day, or doing the road march they missed at O-Dark-Thirty.

Yall worked hard and never got the appreciation deserved

You said it. The whole mood around Batt was subdued for quite a while after that mission. If you ever make it back out to Utah the memorial on Antelope island is a must see. I was activated on a homeland defense mission in Tooele, Utah a couple years ago and ran into an LT in the California Guard that was on that mission also. I wish I could remember his name, but I didn't know him in Batt and the name didn't stick. Anyway, he was out in the water helping to pull in the bodies too. I suggested he go see the memorial but he said he just couldn't go back out there.

As for SSG Jones, he left to become the personal cook for Gen. Grange I believe.
