old fart enlisting

Post by hbe3812 »

here goes! I am in my early thirties and have 12 yeras in the national guard. I have served in light infantry and LRS units but never on active duty. I am currently working in afghanistan as a contractor. I took this job because I wanted to be part of things but this is not enough. It eats away at me that I my unit has ben called up. I am considering enlisting just to get deployed and do my part. If i do I would be interested in a RANGER or 11Xairborne contract. Am I nuts for thinking about this???

Had a 32 year old in my platoon, went through RIP with him also. He was honor grad in RIP and went to Best Ranger Competition after about a year in Batt.

The reason people don't make it are the same regardless of age. If you want it bad enough, you'll get it.

And, yes, you're nuts for thinking about it.

Welcome and Thank You for your service.

"Old Fart" and "In my thirties" do not belong in the same sentence.

I've got clothes older than that!
