Re: Starting RIP March 2nd...

Good job today man, considering I think its safe to assume we lost our pass Will do! Congrats to you too! Not having to take another PT test in RIP will be nice. Yeah, other holdovers testing positive for cocaine and weed, along with guys sleeping in the barracks on talking on their phones during t...

Re: Starting RIP March 2nd...

Rangers, I passed the PT test today with no problems. I scored well over 70% in each event, so I won't be taking another PT test during RIP. The PT test brought the class size down to around 220, which I assume will bring many extra challenges to the course. Doesn't really matter though, it is what ...

Re: Starting RIP March 2nd...

Rangers, I'm now not sure when RIP starts. The new information being put out is that we start March 9th. I'll just take it as an extra week to prepare! PT test tomorrow, I'm very confident in my abilities to pass with at least a 70% in all categories so I won't have to test again in RIP. We took a s...

Re: RIP Holdover

Haha, test your metal. Or as they also tell us here, "get you soul crushed, along with your nuts, and get your shit pushed in." I've been in RIP hold with you this whole time as well as a few other members from this site. I'll have to meet up with you. In formation, I stand to the left of ...

Starting RIP March 2nd...

Rangers, Just a quick update... The next RIP class is scheduled for March 2nd. We take a PT test next Wednesday (February 25th) and it requires 60% on the Pushup and situp portion, and 70% on the run to get into RIP. They told us that if we score a 70% or higher in every portion, then we won't have ...

Re: Graduated Airborne, next RIP Holdover

Rangers,

Maximus and I were in the same platoon in OSUT, the same room at Airborne, and now the same room at RIP hold. Looks like we'll be completing the pipeline together!

Re: All checked in to Airborne School!

Ranger K.Ingraham, I'll keep this previous post of yours in mind during holdover. Besides, as bad as I want this, I'll wait however long they require for my shot at becoming a Ranger. They give us nights and weekends off, we get good PT every morning, and we are living in a Ranger compound. Sounds a...

Re: All checked in to Airborne School!

Rangers, Graduated from Airborne today. During the whole graduation process I couldn't get my mind off of RIP pickup, I think I was more nervous about that than I was for my first jump! In the end pickup wasn't really too bad. They loaded our bags on a truck and we took off running to the RIP compou...

Re: All checked in to Airborne School!

Rangers, Got my last two jumps in last night, I'm now officially a 5 jump chump. :D My class graduates tomorrow afternoon, pickup for RIP will immediately follow. No word on whether or not I'll get any holdover, but either way I'm determined to see this through! Talk is cheap, especially over the in...

Re: All checked in to Airborne School!

Rangers, 3 jumps down, 2 to go! I'm absolutely loving it! As I was recovering my chute on the drop zone after my first jump, I was watching other jumpers exit a C-130 above me. It hit me that I'm actually getting payed to do this! Sure, jumping has its downfalls ( like today, I sat in a hanger all g...

Re: All checked in to Airborne School!

Good SITREP! Stay motivated! Don't land in the trees....I found that shit out the hard way yesterday!  Ranger K.Ingraham, The funny thing is the First Sergeant told us yesterday that we will only have one bird for the entire company of 500 or so jumpers. He said to expect long waits in...

Re: All checked in to Airborne School!

Rangers, Tomorrow will be our last day of tower week. Unfortunately my class was not able to utilise the 250' towers. Today we did the swing landing trainer, I didn't have any problems with it and it was kind of fun. We conduct our first two jumps on Monday. Overrall, Airborne School is pretty enjoy...

Re: All checked in to Airborne School!

Rangers, 34' tower done! It wasn't too bad at all. I didn't even think about the shock of the drop until I read what my mentor Ranger K.Ingraham said above! I read it the night before too! Got a little riser burn on my neck on one of the jumps, but didn't even notice it until I looked in a mirror th...
